I am at a loss as to where to go next, i dont think going back to Windows 7 is a runner and frankly i dont see why i should either.
#SAFFIRE MIXCONTROL CONFUSING AS HELL FOR MAC#
The only higher version available is 3.9 for Mac only. The version 3.7 is the latest Windows version of the software. This interface comes with MixControl which is basically a 18 x 6 DSP style mixer that will let the user make up to 6 different mixes without any latency. but that is much more thought because it will require you to make a backup of everything you have currently on your computer, and also re-install all the other stuff you currently have. The Focusrite Saffire Pro 14 is a 8 in and 6 out firewire audio interface that is perfect for a home studio musician who wants to get rid of the USB interfaces. Well, actually I have another alternative, which consists in install a previous windows version. In the case of negative, I guess that the best option you have is just selling that one, and try to get another one compatible with the MixControl 3.X compatible with your Windows 10. Did you try to get a higher version of that program? Do you know if your Focusrite Saffire Pro 40 is compatible with higher versions?
#SAFFIRE MIXCONTROL CONFUSING AS HELL HOW TO#
Still, I'd like to learn how to do it, so that I know more about the MixControl software. I'm aware that calibrating the sound card isn't too important.

Create an audio track with Saffire Loop1 as the input. Modify DAW 1/2 to a mix if preferred for more versatility. I want to make multiple mixs on the mixcontrol for performers, but it's only giving me the first 8 inputs (from the first pro 40). As mentioned before the problem could be you are not using the same sample rate, or your output in protools is not set to the same channel as your output in mixcontrol. I use two Focusrite Saffire Pro 40s, linked via firewire.

It will not work without it, like trying to drive a car without steering or transmission. You should be able to see that incoming audio both by creating a channel whose input is 'Adat 1' and even on the mix control app by choosing 'Adat 1' (possibly Adat 1.1. I have used various interfaces but imho the saffire pro 24 is the best value out there. At this point, you should be able to connect audio into the Digimax and have it flow into the Saffire - let's say we are sending audio to channel 1 on the DigiMax. There are 2 additional line ins as well as 6 outputs & adat to add 8 more preamps. Loopback DAW 1/2 in the router settings (to record 'What you Hear'). As far as I can tell mixcontrol is the actual driver/controller for it. For starters this thing has a metal casing & is built very solid.

Dustin.newman wrote:I am not an expert on this program, but that sounds like the MixControl 3.7 is not compatible with Windows 10. I am totally confounded as I try to make Saffire MixControl work with REW. For those interested, the 'quick and dirty' way to use this is to: Have Windows sounds run through the Saffire.
